For the last 2 years, the Festival, in conjunction with the CIty of
Oxnard's Solid Waste Division, set a multi-faceted recycling campaign
in motion. This campaign resulted in more than two tons of recycled
material being sent to the Del Norte Regional Recycling & Transfer
Station. The Festival was recognized with the WasteWatch Award from
the City of Oxnard for the collaborative effort that set and eco-friendly
precedent. Public service announcements encouraged Festival guests
to use conveniently located and easily recognizable X-Stream™ recycle
bins after they enjoyed all the tasty treats the Festival had to offer.
The Festival looks forward to making an even greater impact through
its recycling efforts this year.
